After reading the directions a few times I finally realized how to put it all together. I am not really sure if it is due to the way I put it together or just the quality of the product but the edges tend to be a bit jagged when I cut pieces of paper.
I bought this for architecture school so quality is very important. The cutter with hand cuts much better than the bevel cutter. It is more accurate and less bumpy which is great for avoiding an easy rip in a precious piece I am trying to cut.
I think this will be more effective with my drawings on the side rather than using it for school. I am impressed with the price of the cutter for what you get. I recommend making sure you know what you are doing with a couple practice runs before cutting something you really need.
